The Marshall University University Fund

What is the University Fund?

The Marshall University University Fund raises money for a variety of campus projects through gifts managed by The Marshall University Foundation, Inc. The primary focus of the University Fund is raising unrestricted funds for the University’s Greatest Needs and for individual colleges and their respective annual funds.

The University Fund is a tax-deductible opportunity to support Marshall University, and is a yearly program that starts on the University’s fiscal year beginning July 1 and ends on June 30. The University Fund regularly seeks gifts through a student-staffed telephone outreach program, mail appeals and online giving.

University Fund dollars go to the areas of greatest need on campus. It benefits students throughout Marshall by funding general scholarships, library materials, student activities, multicultural programs, campus technology upgrades and so much more. University Fund contributions designated to an individual college help support a variety of projects within that college. Such projects include guest lectures, department scholarships, faculty development, classroom equipment and student/faculty research.
