Fruth Pharmacy donates $2,000 to Marshall University
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Representatives from Fruth Pharmacy presented a $2,000 check to Marshall University on Monday, Oct. 20, for the Fruth Pharmacy Scholarship Fund.
Cowana Brown, regional manager with Fruth, and Jerry Kelley, Fruth’s vice president of human resources, presented the check to Dr. Lynne Mayer, Marshall’s associate vice president for development, at the Erickson Alumni Center. Fruth presented another $2,000 check to MU earlier this year.
Two scholarships are available annually to Fruth Pharmacy associates and their families. Fruth, with 22 stores in West Virginia and Ohio, is headquartered in Point Pleasant, W.Va., and has been in business for 52 years.
Kelley said the two students currently benefiting from the scholarship fund are Tiffany Mynes of Buffalo, W.Va., and Matthew Young of Red House, W.Va. Money for the scholarship fund is raised during Fruth’s annual corporate golf outing.
